Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presides over the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday with President Muhhamadu Buhari absent.
It is not yet clear why the president was absent as there was no official statement in that regard from any of his aides.
However, a media report has it that the president has not made a public appearance since his aides announced his departure from New York, where he had attended the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Even though It was widely reported that the president returned from the UN assembly meeting on Sunday, September 26th, no photograph of the president was posted on social media while arriving in Nigeria contrary to the usual practice by his media aides.
