Immediate past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has been honoured with “Reformer Of Osogboland Award” by prominent indigenes of Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Gathering under the aegis of Osogbo Sons and Daughters, the indigenes said they acknowledged the transformation of the state capital by Aregbesola during his eight year tenure as the governor of the state.
Aregbesola who was represented by a former commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Sikiru Ayedun, at the event, expressed his gratitude to the Osogbo for appreciating the infrastructure development in the state capital during his administration.
“Let me once again thank Osogbo Sons and Daughters for this award. Let me thank most sincerely and profoundly the people of this great city – traditional rulers, community leaders, the market men and women and their leaders, organised labour, the formal sector, transport unions, political parties, students unions and others too numerous to mention. I thank you all for your kind attention.”
