●Commends Agboluaje Kajola Foundation’s Interest-Free Loans

Former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has canvassed for the establishment of more cooperative societies to boost the local economy and create jobs amidst the current situation of the country.

Aregbesola stated this in Ilesa on Sunday, while receiving a team of Babalojas, Iyalojas, Artisans, Youths and associated groups from Osogbo, Ilesa, Ilobu, Ilare Ijesa, Ondo Town and towns in Oyo State, who paid him a courtesy visit in Ilesa, on Sunday.

The former governor of Osun State, who emphasised the benefit of trade associations, urged them to continue to seek the welfare of members through joint cooperative societies that will further benefit their businesses.

Aregbesola commended the Agboluaje Kajola foundation led by Engr. Kayode Adegbulugbe for providing interest-free loans to operators in the informal sector, which he said has increased in no small measure to the standard of living of the people.

“As grand-patron of this foundation, I am impressed by what has been done in the last few months. It is an undeniable fact that it is through cooperative societies that we can further push the growth of our local economies and boost trade. We can not shy away from the fact that it is the time to help ourselves.

“I grew up to realise the impact of cooperative societies as it afforded many to do great things with their businesses. My late mother was a market leader, and I value what market men and women, especially womenfolk, do to cater to not just themselves but their children and family spectrum. I must commend Engr. Adegbulugbe and his team for a job well done,” the former governor stated
