Aregbesola Joins Daura Prayers, Seeks Eternal Rest For Buhari
The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on Tuesday joined Muslim faithful in Daura, Katsina State, to offer special prayers for the repose of the soul of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The prayer session, held in Buhari’s hometown, attracted Islamic clerics, political allies, and sympathisers who gathered to honour the memory of the ex-Nigerian leader.
Aregbesola, who described Buhari as “our late leader”, prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.
In a statement shared via his verified social media handle shortly after the event, Aregbesola said, “Yesterday, I attended prayers in Daura, Katsina State, held in honour of our late leader, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari. May Almighty Allah forgive his sins, grant him Aljana Firdaus and unending comfort in his next estate. Ameen.”

The former Osun governor, who had served in Buhari’s cabinet as Minister of Interior described the prayer session as “solemn but reflective,” noting that the late President left behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
