Aregbesola May Announce LG Caretaker Committee Next Week

Following unforeseen circumstances that befalled the issue of appointing the administrative heads of the local government in Osun state, the State House of Assembly is set to announce the list of the caretaker committee for the 61 Local Government and Area Councils of Osun State next week.

Investigations gathered by Omoluabi disclosed that,the House is likely to read Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s letter sent to the Speaker of the Assembly, Hon Najeem Salam on the appointment of the members of the local government caretaker on Monday or Tuesday.

The Governor’s letter was said to have been delivered to the Salam earlier this morning by the Assistant Chief of Staff, Mr Gbenga Akano.

The letter was said to have been written in Aregbesola’s handwriting. It was gathered that Aregbesola, the parliament and the party have resolved all issues responsible for the delay in the appointment of the caretaker committees.

The medium learnt that the names of the six former executive secretaries, Gbenga Ogunkanmi (Ayedire), Alhaji Azeez Akinleye (Isokan), Kehinde Morenikeji (Boripe), Isiaka Faramade (Osogbo)Tajudeen Lawal (Ife-East) and Lanre Balogun (Ilesa-East) who were said to have been returned by the governor are no longer on the list.
