Aregbesola Pays Tribute To Late Sheikh Muyideen Bello
Former Governor of Osun State and immediate past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has expressed profound sorrow following the passing of Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, a highly respected Islamic scholar and preacher, who died at the age of 84.
In a heartfelt tribute message titled “Tribute To Sheik Muideen Ajani Bello” on Sunday, Aregbesola acknowledged the loss of a revered figure who devoted his life to the propagation and promotion of Islam.
Aregbesola reflected on the inevitability of death, quoting the Quranic verse: “Every person has to taste death; then to us you are to be returned.” (Quran 29:57).

He noted that while the death of Sheikh Bello is a shock, the loss is accepted with deep faith and submission to the will of Allah (SWT), emphasizing that the late scholar had fulfilled his mission and purpose on earth.
“Sheikh Muideen Bello lived Islam, propagated Islam, promoted Islam, and dignified Islam,” Aregbesola stated, highlighting the scholar’s unwavering commitment to the faith and his invaluable contributions to the Islamic community.
The former governor offered prayers for the departed scholar, saying, “May Allah SWT reward him with the highest station in Jannah. Aamin.”
