Aregbesola Provided Selfless Leadership That Aided Mass Prosperity In Osun – El-Rufai

The Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has said the administration of Former Governor Rauf Aregbesola provided a visionary leadership which focused on ensuring mass prosperity for the majority without leaving the minority behind.

El-Rufai noted that the government through its Social Intervention Programmes and its Huge Investment in people and the infrastructural facelift of the State of Osun ensured the massive poverty reduction vis a vis the laudable growth rate between 2010-2018.

The Governor was speaking at the Virtual Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Colloquium 2020 Tagged Government Unusual: Innovative Economic Solutions to Unlock Mass Prosperity on Saturday.

“The basis of my friendship and relationship with Rauf is because l found out that he is a Socialist with a good heart. I got closer to him when l went to monitor his reelection in 2014 and saw quality school buildings, busy youths on roads sweeping and constructing drainages which made that State the most safest in the Country under him as the Governor.”

“His passion and concern about the faith of vulnerable is legendary. This is a Governor that has long distributed ICT tablets to public schools in his state before some of us started struggling to replicate same in our various states.”

The Kaduna Chief Executive maintained that the foundation Aregbesola laid in critical sectors of the economy through innovative and enduring legacies that orchestrated the birth of the modern Osun.

El-Rufai stressed “He started free feeding programme for public school students with huge value chains of cooks and sellers of food produces which l copied for Kaduna State students.”

“I had to send officials from Kaduna to understudy his style and system of governance. And l spent some time with him for tutorials.”

“I am not TINUBU’s man because we have differences but l am RAUF AREGBESOLA’s man any day and l know RAUF is TINUBU’s man.”
