Armed Robbers Kill Man Outside Kogi Bank

Armed robbers on Friday attacked a man exiting a new generation bank in Kogi state and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money before fatally shooting him dead.

Findings revealed that the armed robbers trailed the man from the bank up to Phase II, Lokongoma right in front of the market where they double-crossed his car, dragged him out pumped several bullets at him, and took away a bag full of money which he had earlier withdrawn from the bank.

Efforts to get the Kogi Police Command to react to the development have not been successful as calls to the spokesperson rang out.

Osun Defender reports that there have been a series of armed robbery cases in Kogi state.

Specifically, on March 8, 2024, Armed robbers invaded two banks in the Anyigba community of Kogi State, leaving two policemen dead.

The robbers were said to have stormed First Bank and Access banks where they carted away yet-to-be-ascertained sums of money.

The heavily armed robbers stormed the two banks simultaneously and began sporadic shooting in broad daylight.
