Army Assures Abuja Residents Of Safety As Battle Simulation Exercise Holds Tomorrow

The Army Headquarters Garrison, Mogadishu Cantonment in Asokoro District of Abuja has alerted the residents of the nation’s capital city about a two-day Battle Simulation Exercise as part of activities scheduled for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023.

In a memo signed by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Njideka Clara Agwu, dated Sunday, October 22, 2023, he said the exercise will take place at Maitama and Asokoro Districts of Abuja and their environs, urging residents of the areas not to panic during the simulation exercise as there is no cause for alarm.

“Consequently, members of the public who reside in Maitama, Asokoro, AYA and environs are not to panic but go about their normal respective businesses as the battle sounds would not raise any important security concern,” the statement said.
Lt. Col. Agwu added that all necessary safety measures have been put in place for the exercise.
