The administration of Hon. Anthony Adeboye in Atakunmosa West Central Local Council Development Area has embarked on massive developmental programmes and projects in the council.
A statement jointly signed by the head of department of Social Development and Information, Mrs O. M. Odeniran and the Local Council’s spokesman, Adeoye Adegbohungbe unfolds the developmental projects being executed by the LCDA to include restructuring and renovation of an inherited block of classrooms aimed at providing more office accommodation for staffers and political functionaries of the third tier of government.
According to the statement, the LCDA boss is of the opinion that providing offices for key officers of the council in particular would bring convenience and help maintain confidentiality in the discharge of their official duties.
Other projects of the administration include procurement and installation of concrete electricity poles to replace broken and wooden ones along Iwara -Ifewara road and also putting poles in between too distant ones to keep high tension wires flying.
Also in a bid to provide drinkable water for the residents of the council area, the statement stressed that “three water projects (motorized boreholes) presently being executed are nearing completion. Two are sited in lfewara while the third one is in ltagunmodi”.
This, according to Hon. Adeboye is premised on the incontrovertible fact that provision of potable water would help to prevent the people from contacting water – borne diseases.
The statement quoted the Council Chief as saying, “We know the importance of good water to the health of the citizenry. Hence we don’t want our people to continually get water from unwholesome sources so that they will not contact water -borne diseases.
“Water, they say, is life and this is why we have embarked on the provision of motorized boreholes to guarantee clean and good water for the use of our people”.
Another project, according to the statement is the massive grading of roads currently going -on in Agbabiaka community, lfewara to guarantee rural dwellers easy access and also facilitate transportation of farm products to markets.
The council Chief assured the residents of the council area of the provision of basic social amenities by his administration, adding that the government of Governor Gboyega Oyetola would guarantee all round development across the state and make life more worth living for its citizenry.
