Atakunmosa West Presents Score Card

The Caretaker Management Committee of Atakumosa West Central Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ifewara has embarked on multiple developmental projects aimed at bringing all round development to the newly created council area. 

According to a statement by the Information Officer of the council, Adeoye Adegbohungbe, the projects which are at various stages of completion were embarked upon by the caretaker administration of Honourable Anthony Adedeji Adeboye in practical demonstration of his commitment to the socio-economic development of the council area.

Adeboye, according to the statement maintained that the vision of his administration was to lay a solid foundation for the council’s development and also to do everything possible within the limit of the available resource to make the council area a cynosure of all eyes among its peers in the state.

“Developmental projects embarked upon include opening and widening of lfewara-Aruwa road which is on-going”.

This, according to the council’s helmsman was to open up Aruwa community to business activities and also to give its people a sense of belonging.

According to the statement, projects that were receiving attention include, extension of electricity supply to the Aruwa community, construction of ultra -modern toilet at the council secretariat and drilling of borehole at the secretariat for the use of council staff.

Also nearing completion are the construction of culvert, line drains and de-silting of drains at the Headquarters of the council area, lfewara.

Other projects, the statement stressed, are the conversion of two hand dug wells in Arunde and lfewara into motorised wells, in a bid to make the residents of the affected communities have access to drinkable water with a view to making water-borne diseases a thing of the past.

The Adeboye-led administration, had also among other things ensured regular clearing of road verges along Aiyetoro/lfewara road, evacuation and clearing of illegal dump sites at Epe, ljana and ltagunmodi and regular cutting and clearing of weeds in market places in the LCDA since it came on board in May 2017.
