Atiku, Oyinlola, Aregbesola, Kwankwaso, Others In Ibadan For National Summit
Former vice president Abubakar Atiku, former governors of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and other prominent politicians have arrived Ibadan, Oyo State for the National Summit of Opposition Political Party Leaders.
The summit themed: “That We May Work Together for a United Opposition to Sustain Our Democracy,” is currently taking place at the Government House, Ibadan.
They were joined by other prominent political figures already in the city, including former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
The summit, taking place in Ibadan, has drawn major opposition stakeholders from across the country for discussions expected to focus on national issues, political realignments, and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The gathering has heightened political attention nationwide, with analysts watching closely for possible coalition signals among opposition blocs.
Security remains tight across key locations in Ibadan as the meeting continues.
