The Executive Secretary, Ayedire Local Government, Otunba Mukaila Oladejo has assured students and teachers of the Local Government that his administration would continue to improve the standard of education.
He gave the assurance during a one-day seminar organized by CATO Food And Agro Allied Global Concept for female school students, in collaboration with the local government recently, saying, adequate attention to education sector would guarantee a better future.
Stressing the need for students to also be focused and committed to their education, he said this is the only way the commitment of the government both at the local government and state level could have the desired effect.
The council boss noted that the students should see themselves as the foundation on which the development of any county can be built upon.
He specifically charged female students not to see themselves as inferior to their male counterpart, saying, once they are empowered, they have the capacity to contribute meaningfully to the development of the society.
The representative of the CATO Food And Agro Allied Global Concept, Mr Pelumi Aribisala said, “building female children, is building the nation”, saying the capacity building would bridge the gap between male and female children.
Assuring that the organizer was determined to ensuring the follow up after the seminar, he said there is the need for monitoring to ensure that the purpose of the capacity building is served.
