Barely three months in office, the administration of Mr Femi Idowu in Ayedire South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Oluponna has embarked on massive developmental projects to enhance standard of living of the people and develop the council.
According to a statement by the Head of Social Development, Isiaka Abidoye and the Information Officer, Saheed Omotosho, the gesture was in line with Idowu’s electioneering promises to making life more bearable for the people at the grassroot interms of provision of basic amenities.
Some of the projects embarked on, according to the statement, were, renovation of Heath centres at Ile Iran and Osun Woyin; evacuation of refuse at Araromi Market; purchase of motorcycles for the purpose of boosting IGR; renovation of the LCDA offices; clearing of Ayedire South LCDA permanent site, Oluponna and rehabilitation of Aladura, Ile-Osa road.
Others are, renovation of Oluponna town hall; grading of Oke Osun, Oke Oba and other township roads; sinking of two Boreholes at Aladura and Oja Amosun respectively, as well as repair of another boreholes at Omisore and Gbandu among others
While speaking, Mr Femi Idowu assured the people of the council that what they have witnessed in less than three months of his tenure in office were just tip of the iceberg, saying more projects that would make life more meaningful for his people are underway.
