Babalola Arraigned Over Alleged Stealing Of Nokia Phone

For allegedly stealing N25,000 and a Nokia phone, Babalola Wasiu, 25, has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo.

The prosecutor, ASP Fagboyinbo Abiodun explained that the accused person and others at large stole the money and the Nokia phone valued N15,000

He said the cash and the phone totaling N40,000 belongs to one Mr Azeez Ismail.

The prosecutor stated that the offence contravenes section 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 vol.ll  laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.

He told the court that the suspect committed the offence on August 24, at about 12:05 am at Oke Fia area in Osogbo.

The suspect who is represented by Mr J. P Jones pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.

The Magistrate, Mrs F. A Sodamade grant him bail with the sum of N500,000 with one surety.

She added the surety should swear to an affidavit of means, provide 3 years tax clearance and the address should be verified by police.

The case was adjourned for hearing.
