Barcelona Beat Real Madrid In Copa Del Rey Final

FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in the Copa Del Rey final in extra time, securing their 32nd title.
The clasico took place at the Estadio La Cartuja in Seville as Barcelona defeated their arch-rival Real Madrid in the final. Hansi Flick led the game at the 28th minute with a brilliant goal from Pedri, and Madrid struggled to get back the lead before the break but couldn’t.
After halftime, Ancelotti’s men responded, equalising at the 70th minute with a direct free kick from Kylian Mbappe. As he came on as a substitute in the second half, they responded again with a goal from Aurélien Tchouaméni, putting them ahead seven minutes later.
Barcelona leveled the score in the 84th minute with a goal from Ferran Torres after a Thibaut Courtois error, pushing the match into extra time.
In extra time, Hansi Flick kept his treble hopes high, which came in a decisive moment in the 116th minute when Jules Koundé capitalized on a defensive error, picking out the bottom corner of the net to secure the win for Barcelona. Madrid tried to get back in the game after a penalty was denied at the 118th minute mark.
In the final minutes, the match intensified with both Antonio Rudiiger and Lucas Vasquez being caught when something was thrown at De Burgos Bengoetxea, the referee from Madrid’s bench.
Madrid previously called for the referee’s removal, citing bias. De Burgos pointed to the penalty spot after a challenge on Raphinha, but the final whistle blew soon after, with Barcelona securing their 32nd Copa del Rey title.
Flick’s victory marks his first trophy with Barcelona, making it a third Clásico win for him in less than a year, following a memorable 5–2 win over Madrid at the Bernabéu.
As Barcelona sits four points clear at the top of La Liga and prepares for a Champions League semi-final clash with Inter Milan, the pressure mounts on Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, whose side is nursing disappointing losses to Arsenal in both legs of the UCL quarter-finals.
