The President, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, who recently turned sixty years old, has said his belief in Nigeria’s economic potential remains unshaken.
Dangote’s empire stretches into many African countries and the business man is widely known globally, frequently featuring on Africa-based Forbes’s list.
The business mogul told a group of businessmen in his office in Lagos that his passion for the workability of Nigeria’s economy had been the impetus that underline his investment decisions, reiterating that “Nigeria is the world’s best kept secret.”
Dangote’s 60th birthday will be commemorated with the planting of 60 trees at the site of his crude oil and petrochemical refinery in Lekki.
Several political stalwarts including former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and the president Muhammadu Buhari have congratulated Dangote on his birthday, with Tinubu calling the celebrant ‘an inspiration.’
