“Biggest Mistake Of All Time” – Nigerians React To Purported Expulsion Of Aregbesola By Osun APC

Scores of Nigerians have reacted to the purported expulsion of the former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State.

Osun APC also revealed that the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, which is one of the caucuses of the major opposition party that has Aregbesola as its grand patron, is unknown to the party and warned members against associating with the group and neither should they register with it.

Osun Defender had reported that Aregbesola, the immediate past Minister of Interior, launched the registration of members under the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus which is populated by his loyalists in the party.

However, addressing a press conference at the APC secretariat on Tuesday, Osun APC Secretary, Kamoru Alao, declared that the former governor of the state is no longer a member of the party in the state.

“Rauf Aregbesola, in as far as we are concerned in Osun APC, we have been saying it severally that he is no longer a member of APC in Osun State.

“We have taken steps three times to notify the national secretariat that Aregbesola is giving us distractions in APC affairs in the state and then the party at the national level should do the needful in dealing with him. He is a national figure, we know, but if we cannot handle his case in this state, we have referred his matter to the national secretariat and I know, soonest, they are going to act on it,” the party’s scribe stated.

Meanwhile, scores of Nigerias have taken to their social media handles to react to the recent political development in Osun.
