Board Assures Osun Intending Muslim Pilgrims Of Smooth Hajj Operations

Osun Muslim Pilgrims welfare board is determined to render quality, excellent and efficient services to the pilgrims for the 2019 hajj operations.

The administrative Secretary of the board, Mr Bolaji Sanni disclosed this during a sensitization visits to stakeholders including two royal fathers namely Ataoja of Osogbo and Aragbiji of Iragbiji; the chief Imam of Osogbo land, Alhaji Musa Animashahun; Osun State Muslim Community; Nasrullahi-l-Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) among others in the state.

Sanni explained that the purpose of the visits was to seek support and cooperation of stakeholders to disseminate information about the transparent nature of this year’s hajj operation most especially sensitization of pilgrims with useful knowledge of the exercise.

The Board Secretary while speaking on the latest developments to this year ‘s operation, emphasized that special arrangements have been put in place in terms of accommodation, transport, feeding and other logistics for a  successful  hajj exercise.

He promised that pilgrims will get their meals at appropriate time, regularly and consistently, assuring them that standard accommodation close to Haram is awaiting them in the Holy land.

He further disclosed that the board has been allocated 967 slots by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), adding that pilgrims are free to make a deposit of N1.5million into the board’s account every working day up till end of March, 2019 as airlifting will be in accordance with the time of payment by each pilgrim.

He then expressed his gratitude to the state government under the leadership of Mr Gboyega Oyetola for his support to the board all the time.

The accountant of the board, Mr. Wale Adegbite while responding to some of the complaints on previous hajj exercise, expressing satisfaction with the former Amir-ul-Hajj, Barrister Zikrullah Olakunle Hassan, claiming that the board has been one of the best during his tenure and has remained a role model to other states.

“It is also on record that based on the board’s high performance, the state was identified and given an award in the holy land NAHCON from among the 36 states in the federation during the last year’s exercise.

The stakeholders expressed their gratitude and confidence towards the new management and also promised to promote and protect the image of the board all the time.
