Social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called Verydarkman, has told prominent human rights lawyer, Femi Falana to launch an investigation into the allegations made by popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, against the legal luminary and his son rather than pursue a defamation case against him.
Verydarkman was replying to a letter from Falana and Falana chambers signed by Taiwo Olawanle alleging him of defaming their client, Folarin Falana.
Osun Defender reported that Verydarkman had yesterday night released an audio where ex-convict, Idris Okuneye, allegedly said Falana attempted to secure a presidential pardon for him while in prison.
But Falana through is lawyer in a letter to Verydarkman asked him to withdraw the defamatory statement in the next 24 hours or face legal actions.
Relying Falana through is lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, Verydarkman denied defaming Falana, noting that he only released the audio with a view to getting the relevant agencies to initiate a thorough investigation into the far reaching allegations made Bobrisky.
The letter read in part, “Our client is in receipt of your letter dated Septeniber 25, 2024, on the above subject matter wherein you demanded for the retraction of his Instagram publication containing a voice recording between Mr. Chung Olarenwart (Thubrisky) and a third party, Idris.

“Our client denies defaming Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, but asserts that he only published the said communication with a view to getting the relevant agencies, and even your client, to initiate a thorough investigation into the far reaching allegations made by Mr Okuneye in the said voice recording, especially as some element of the voice recording has been comfirmed by Mr. Folarin Falana in his solicitor’s letter of September 25, 2024.
“Our client holds Mr. Femi Falana, SAN in very high esteem and recognises his commitment in the protection of human rights and rule of law in Nigeria. It is in the light of the foregoing that our client believes that the appropriate line of action in the circumstance is an interagency investigation into the allegations contained in the voice recording, rather than pursuing a case of defamation.”
