Boko Haram Invades Borno Police Station, Kills Two, Carts Away Ammunitions
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists early Sunday morning invaded Jakana Police station in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno state, killing a police driver and a woman friend.
The terrorists, armed to the teeth also set ablaze two patrol vehicles belonging to the police and members of Civilian Joint Task Force and a motorcycle, even as some arms and ammunitions were carted away by the rampaging insurgents.
Jakana is about 45kms drive from Maiduguri, located along Damaturu -Maiduguri expressway.
Sources who confirmed the incident said the terrorists stormed the Police Station at about 1am, where they engaged the security agencies for about three hours, overwhelmed them, and fled at about 3am.

The Executive Chairman of Konduga Council Area, Hon. Abbas Ali Abari also confirmed the incident but insisted that he did not have details of casualties at press time, even though.
He said, “Yes I received a distress call that Boko Haram Terrorists attacked Jakana Police station last night. I am speaking with the Divisional Police Officer, and whenever I get the details I will furnish you.”
