Barely hours after President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babagana Zulum assured farmers of adequate security in their independence messages, Boko Haram terrorists attacked Ngoshe Community in Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State.
Sources revealed that five farmers were slaughtered, and a Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) member, Jubril Zarana, was killed while defending his people. Fifteen others, including children, women, and the elderly, were abducted.
The terrorists ambushed the farmers while they worked on their farms. Despite efforts by security agents and CJTF, the terrorists overpowered them.
