Nigerians and South Africans are reportedly at loggerheads over a string of fake ride orders on the popular transportation platform, Bolt.
Nigerians claim South Africans have been ordering Bolt rides in Nigeria from South Africa, only to cancel them once the driver arrives at the pick-up location,
They allegedly justify this by saying Nigeria’s currency is weak, and they can afford paying cancellation fees.
Some have even hinted at reporting fake crimes to police lines next.
In response, Nigerians have launched a counterattack, placing fake orders and requesting pay-on-delivery items to inconvenience South Africans.
