A bomb blast at a Taliban centre in Imam Sahib district of northern Afghanistan’s Kunduz province on Tuesday, has lead to the death of three militants including a key commander.
According to a villager who spoke on condition of anonymity said: “a group of Taliban militants were making mine in Gunbad village of Imam Sahib district today afternoon when the explosive material exploded accidentally killing three including key commander Mullah Elham on the spot and injuring two others.”
The governor of Imam Sahib district Mahboubullah Sayedi has also confirmed the incident but failed to provide details.
Taliban militants who are active in Imam Sahib district are yet to make comment on the report.
