Boy Runs From Home Over Insufficient Food
As Osun NSCDC Reunites Him, One Other With Parents
The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has reunited two wandering children with their parents.
This was disclosed in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke, a copy obtained by Osun Defender on Wednesday.
The state Commandant of NSCDC, Michael Adaralewa PhD, said personnel of the command on Thursday, 29th August 2024, found a 12-year-old boy wandering around Lameco in Osogbo at 11 pm.
The boy when questioned, said he ran away from his guardian’s house, noting that he was not properly fed.
The statement added that, on Saturday, 31st August 2024, an 8-year-old girl was also found wandering at Apara Area, Osunjela, Ilesha Road, Osun state.
The girl who was taken to an NSCDC office by a good Samaritan was also reunited with her parents.

Commandant Adaralewa in the statement, commended the public for their collaboration and appealed for proactive intelligence to ensure the safety of children, especially during this holiday period.
He assured that the command is working with sister agencies to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the three children who were kidnapped in August and bring the perpetrators to justice.
