Breaking: 10 Feared Dead In Osun Accident

No fewer than 10 people have been feared dead in a ghastly motor accident on Sunday morning in Eripa, Boluwaduro Local Government of Osun State.

According to reports, the victims are said to be returning from the annual Oke Maria pilgrimage in Otan Ayegabju in a bus belonging to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lagere, Ile-Ife.

Eyewitness account revealed that the bus conveying passengers and other commuters from the annual pilgrimage held on Saturday lost control and rammed into a fence at the other side of the Iree/Eripa/Otan-Ayegbaju/Ila Expressway causing the vehicle to fall in a pit.

Officials of the Federal Road safety commission (FRSC) have arrived the scene and were seen bringing the accident victims out from the bus with the help of residents.

As at the time of filing in this report, more than 10 people have been confirmed dead with passers by languishing in agony and shock of the number of causalities involved.

The annual pilgrimage was held on Saturday where thousands of worshippers gathered for prayers at the Oke Maria mountain located in Otan Ayegbaju.
