Breaking: Osun By-Election: Senator Hussein Cleared By APC NWC

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has cleared Senator Mudasiru Hussein to contest the party’s primaries for the Osun West senatorial district holding tomorrow, Tuesday June 13, 2017.

This is the outcome of the meeting of the NWC in Abuja which reviewed the decision of the Appeal Panel which had earlier dismissed the appeal filed by Senator Hussain on Sunday.

By the regulation of the party, the decision of the NWC of the party is final.

It would be recalled that the APC appeal panel announced the postponement of the primary to Tuesday, June 13, 2017 as against earlier scheduled Monday, June 12, 2017 on the premise that the National Working Committee of the party will consider Senator Hussein unlawful disqualification.

A 3-man Appeal team led by the former deputy governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello had on Sunday dismissed an appeal filed by Senator Mudashiru Hussein, one of the two aspirants, competing for the seat.

Therefore, delegates for the APC West senatorial district primaries are to proceed to the designated centre for the exercise on Tuesday.
