A yet-to-be identified protester was reportedly shot by security operatives as the hunger protest turned violent in Kaduna State.
In a viral video sighted by Osun Defender, a voice was heard as protesters begged security men against shooting at them. Amidst the chaos, a young man with a gown wound was seen lying motionless on the floor as other protesters ran for cover.
Osun Defender reports that protesters in their large number set ablaze the Headquarters of Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA).
The protest which was hitherto peaceful, turned violent as the protesters in their hundreds were marching back to Ahmedu Bello Way from Kaduna Government House through Sokoto Road.
The protesters also looted property at the KASTLEA headquarters and private residences around the office.
