Buhari Advised To Invest Looted Funds Into Agriculture
Plateau State Branch of the Nigerian League of Journalists has advised President Buhari to use about 80% of the money recovered through the whistle-blowing policy to invest in the Agricultural sector of the country. They also said the money could be invested into health, education, tourism and revitalization of moribund, but viable industries in the country.
If properly implemented, will reduce strikes, protests, youth unemployment and take the nation out of the present economic recession.
On the recent action by President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, David Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mr. Wole Oke, the League viewed it as commendable but, advised the President to beam searchlight on all the sectors to stamp out corruption in all ramifications.
