Bundesliga: Lewandowski, a shoulder to lean on

German Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich might be having a difficult season after series of disappointing outing This season. That 5-1 defeat to Eintrancht Frankfurt some weeks back saw their gaffer, Niko Kovač sacked despite winning three trophies last season.

Despite the clubs’ woes, some players have stood out in the course of these bad performances and one of the players will be the in-form Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski this season has been firing from all cylinders. The Polish has scored in every match of Bayern Munich this season which shows the quality he offers the team.  The number 9 jerseyed player has ranked up 16 goals in 11 Bundesliga matches this season.

Over the years, we have seen the likes of Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery carry this great club on their shoulder but with Robben’s retirement and Ribery deciding to move on, questions were asked as to who will fit in those shoes.

The young man Serge Gnabry has come close with goals and assists especially in the UEFA champions league but Robert Lewandowski could be said to have answered those questions. The striker’s brace helped see off arch rivals, BorussiaDortmund over the weekend in a 4nil victory at the Allianz Arena.

With the help of Lewa’s 16 goals, Bayern are placed 3rd on the log behind leaders Borussia Mochengladbach and RB Leipzig.What else would you ask from one your most experienced players in the squad.
