In a move that appears to be aimed at wooing more political heavyweights into their party, major stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) met with former Oyo state governor, Rasheed Ladoja in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Sunday.
The National Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is also the governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala-Buni; led the delegation of the APC stalwarts to Ibadan.
Others include the governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru; his counterpart in Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu and the former Speaker House of Representatives, Honourable Dimeji Bankole.
Mr. Bashiru Latinwo, the media aide to the former governor confirmed the meeting to newsmen.
According to him, “it is true that the APC caretaker committee chairman, governors of Jigawa, Kebbi and former Speaker, House of Representatives, Honourable Dimeji Bankole held a meeting with Senator Rashidi Ladoja today (Sunday) at his residence in Bodija.
“It was a closed-door meeting and they did not disclose the outcome of their parley with Ladoja to few journalists who were waiting for them,” Latino added.
