The Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C), has dismissed the request in some quarters to withdraw the certificate of Osogbo Progressives Union (O.P.U).
This is contained in a letter signed by Ochar A. Imar on behalf of the Registrar-General, Corporate Affairs Commission.
The letter was in response to the request of the Ataoja of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, to withdraw O.P.U’s registration certificate.
The letter which refers to the article 19a and (b) of the union constitution and section 850 of the companies allied matter act maintained that it is illegal to acceede to the request to withdraw the status of Osogbo progressives union and its certificate.
It advised anyone who has reports of any conduct of an organisation, regarding threat to the peace of the society to contact the relevant security operatives for thorough investigation and action.
