CAMPUS REVIEW: OAU Publishes 2018/19 Academic Calendar
Management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife has published the academic calendar for the 2018/2019 academic session of the university.
According to the calendar published on the university’s website, the resumption date for the 2018/2019 academic session is 9th March, 2019. The e-portal of the university, according to the publication will be opened for registration for courses on 4th March, 2019.
It stated that the OAU Harmattan Semester academic calendar 2018/2019 runs as follows:
February 11-March 18, 2019- SWEP/SIWES & Teaching Practice, March 4, 2019 – On line Registration for Courses for 2018/2019 Harmattan Semester Commences, March 9, 2019 – Fresh Students in Faculties of Law/Arts/Social Sciences/Admin. Education come into Residence for 2018/2019 Harmattan Semester, March 10, 2019 – Fresh Students in Faculties of Science/EDM/Tech/Agric/Basic Medical/Clinical Science/Dentistry and Pharmacy come into Residence for 2018/2019 Harmattan Semester, March 11-14, 2019 – Orientation Week for Fresh Students, March 15-17, 2019 – ICT Training for Fresh Students, March 17, 2019 – Returning students come into residence, March 18, 2019 – Harmattan Semester Lectures Begin, March 18, 2019 – End of Normal Registration for courses, March 25, 2019 – End of Late Registration with Penalty, and March 25-29, 2019 – Clearance at Faculties and Admission Office.
Also, April 10, 2019 – Matriculation, April 11-16 – Faculty/Students Colloquium, April 15-19 – Continuous Assessment, April 24, 2019 – Senate, June 14, 2019 – Harmattan Semester Lectures end, June 17-21, 2019 – Lecture free week, June 24, 2019 – Harmattan Semester examinations begin, July 8, 2019 – Harmattan Semester examinations end.
