By Joshua Afolabi
Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has on Tuesday, October 2 commenced the screening exercise of the newly-admitted students into the institution.
Our reporter on campus reports that both the existing and new students of the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma were sighted on campus to participate in the registration exercise.
An Administrative officer of the Polytechnic told this medium that the registration exercise has begun in due course in compliance with the directive of the management for the resumption of students into the campus.
It would be recalled that the management of the polytechnic had on Sunday directed the newly admitted students to commence registration exercise, while the existing part-time students of ND and HND should also resume.
According to a statement signed by the institution Registrar, Mr. Bashiru Salawu, any of the newly-admitted candidates who refuse to pay the acceptance fee and appear for screening before the stipulated time may forfeit the offer of admission.
He urged all the new candidates for National Diploma (ND1) and Higher National Diploma (HND1) programmes to report at the admission office and their respective faculties for screening and further directives upon payments of their acceptance fees.
Basiru stressed that all the HND 11 students of the polytechnic who are currently on break are expected to resume for commencement of the 2018/2019 academic activities immediately, while all the Daily Part Time students are directed to commence their second semester lectures.
In his statement, “All students of the institution except the ND11 (Regular) students who are currently on their four months industrial experience, to comply with this information in their own interest”.
