Security attention is currently urgently needed in Ileogbo, Aiyedire Local Government and Iwo, Iwo Local Government areas of the State of Osun.
Indigenes of the two communities have been engaging in violent clash over the ownership of a piece of land situated at Asalu, Oke Saji which borders Ileogbo and Iwo.
OSUN DEFENDER gathered that three people were reportedly dead while many sustained gunshot and machete cut injuries in the clash that started about four hours ago.
The medium also learnt that Olu Ileogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje and the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi have been summoned to a meeting by the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr Benedict Alabi.
At the meeting was the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Olawale Olokode.
While the meeting was still going on, reports from both Iwo and Ileogbo indicated that indigenes of the two communities were spurred for war as they have been reportedly arming themselves.
Police Public Relations Officer, Osun Command; Mrs Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident.
She also confirmed that there is casualty in the clash.
She said security operatives have been deployed to the two communities to restore peace and order.
