Embattled Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has shared a photo of himself at the National Youth Service Corps camp in Kaduna State.
This is following the scandal on his academic qualifications, especially as regards his claims to have “7” Degrees, including one from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Harvard University.
In the picture he shared on Twitter, Dino captioned the picture: “ABU 99 set at NYSC camp in KD. Me in blue shorts”.
However, considering Dino wasn’t in the recognised uniform, many of his followers tackled him on being a hypocrite who has hassled the Customs DG Hameed Ali on wearing uniforms, whereas, Dino himself would not wear the compulsory NYSC uniform.
@mukbone said “@dino_melaye and you open your mouth to tell customs CG Hameed Ali to wear uniform while you’ve been a deviant right from day one.” Another user, Ayodele Ogunseyi @ayodeleogunseyi also said “@dino_melaye for putting on blue short…u need to vacate ur sit or do youth service again. You must be in ‘normal uniform'”.
Other Nigerians also stated that the embattled Senator need to show his certificates and transcripts, saying that a picture from NYSC orientation camp does not prove graduation from a university.
Online news portal Sahara Reporters had in a report alleged that the Senator did not graduate from ABU and that he is not an alumnus of the Harvard University as he claimed on his LinkedIn profile. Harvard University has stated he is not an alumnus, as he only had a one-week seminar there.
Melaye, however, insisted that he graduated from the ABU and that he headed the student union government while there.
Despite his insistence that claims that he did not graduate are laughable, the Senate has opted to probe the claims.
ABU initially promised to make a statement but has since kept mum.

My friend making noise on the pages of paper is not the best , show your certificate to the world and bailout yourself from this political embarrassment. Also is time for ABU authority to speak out and protect the prestigious University image.
Senator Dino, why is it difficult to display your transcript from 100 Level to the year of graduation. This will douse this hullabaloo.
