Only Nigerians living in Chad will be allowed into the country, the Minister of Defence Bashir Magashi has said.
The minister said Nigeria has become mindful of external threats that could come from the influx of refugees following the death of President Deby who was killed by rebels recently.
Bashir said Nigeria has therefore increased security on its border with Chad.
Nigeria is battling insurgency within its territory and Chad borders Nigeria to the north-east where Boko Haram militants have carried out attacks over the years.
