Chelsea Finally Land Front-Of-Shirt Sponsorship Deal

Chelsea have finally landed a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal after starting the new season with no major match jersey sponsors.

An American Sports Technology Company, Infinite Athlete, has signed a front-of-shirt deal with Chelsea worth over £40 million per season.

Recall that at the end of the 2022-2023 season, Chelsea’s front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with British telecommunication company, Three, expired, and the two parties couldn’t reach an agreement for a new deal.

After playing about six Premier League games without a front-of-shirt sponsor, Chelsea’s men’s and women’s teams might have Infinite Athlete boldly printed on their shirts in their subsequent games.

The sponsorship deal covers all categories of teams at the club, including age grades and gender-based teams for the 2023-2024 season.
Chelsea’s female players will wear the newly branded shirts against Tottenham on Sunday in their Women’s Super League game.

It is also expected that Chelsea’s male team will wear the newly branded shirt when they face Fulham on Monday, October 2.

Chelsea’s new front-of-shirt deal places the club along with rivals Tottenham and Arsenal, among the Premier League’s top earners from jersey sponsorship.

Earlier this month, Manchester United confirmed a partnership from next season expected to be worth more than £60m a year. On the other hand, Liverpool’s arrangement with Standard Chartered is reportedly worth £50m a year.

However, Manchester City’s £70 million a year, shirt-sponsorship long-term deal with Etihad is said to be the most lucrative in the history of the Premier League.
