Chelsea To Replace Pochettino With Leicester City Coach, Maresca
British media reports late Thursday, said Chelsea have appointed Leicester’s Enzo Maresca as their new head coach.
The Italian, according to Daily Telegraph would be joining the Blues on a five-year contract, plus an option of a further year, designed to give the club stability after two years of upheaval under the new regime led by US investors Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly.
Maresca will be replacing Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked after a season with the club.
The form assistant to Pep Guardiola English champions Manchester City coached Leicester City last season and oversaw their immediate return to the Premier League.
The 44-year-old Italian’s style of football is also said to have impressed those at the helm at Chelsea.
