Member-elect from Ife North State Constituency for the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Abidemi Oyewusi on Saturday felicitated children in Ife North, Osun State, and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2023 International Children’s Day celebration.
Hon. Oyewusi in a statement released through his media and digital communication aide, Segun Amure affirmed that children make the lives of our society better through the joy that they bring.

He stated that the theme of this year’s celebration, “Investing in our future means investing in our children” is a call to action for parents, guardians, and policymakers to invest in the future of the young ones.
According to him, the future remains a mirage if we don’t give our children quality time, proper education, skills, and a good upbringing among others.
Hon. Oyewusi,, therefore admonished the children to shun youthful exuberance and live a meaningful life.
His statement reads, “My beloved children, today is the day the world has set aside to celebrate you.
” You make our lives better with your existence and we are glad to identify with you as you grow.
” The theme of this celebration, “Investing in our future means investing in our children, is a call to action for the parents, guardians, and policymakers that the only way we can invest in our future is by taking good care of our children.
“The only way we can do this is by giving them( children) quality time of affection, proper education, skills, and a good upbringing among others.
“My sons and daughters, I admonish you all to shun youthful exuberance and live a meaningful life.
“Prioritize education, learn a skill, and be technologically literate. With God, your future is bright.
