COAS CRASH: Osun Loses Son

ACM Olamide Oyedepo who was among the crew members of the ill fated aircraft that claimed the lives of the Chief of Army Staff and others, on Friday, has been identified as Osun indigene.

Oyedepo who was born and raised in Ora-Igbomina, Ifedayo Local Government Area of the State joined the service of the Nigeria Air Force in 2018.

In a telephone conversation with a source within his family, ‘Osun Defender’ gathered that the deceased, who was in his 20s’, had a National Certificate in Education from Osun College of Education, Ila Orangun.

Oyedepo who lost his mother in the year 2008 was the last child of the family.

He had his primary and secondary education in Ora, New Generation Group of Schools and Ora Secondary Commercial Grammar School (ORSECO) respectively.

Meanwhile, in an invitation released by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, saud the burial of the Chief of Army Staff and six other senior military officers who died in the Beachcraft 350 aircraft that crashed at the Kaduna International Airport on Friday holds today, Saturday 22, in Abuja.

Yerima said they will be buried at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.

The burial will be preceded by prayers that will hold simultaneously at the National Mosque and National Christian Centre, Abuja.
