Community Health Officer Arrested For Treating Wounded Bandits

Men of the Sokoto State Police Command have arrested a community health officer in Badon Hanya, Jamilu B. Yusuf for allegedly treating bandits and kidnappers.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Ali Kaigama, while parading the suspects, explained that he was arrested along with 12 others on their way to Tambuwal for a mission.

According to the Commissioner of Police, the health worker was the one treating injured suspects.

Kaigama added, “Three AK-47 rifles with 116 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the suspects.”

Speaking to newsmen, the suspect confessed to treating bandits anytime they sustained gunshot wounds.

He added that they were paying him up to N100,000 per patient.
