Atakunmosa East Embarks On Road Grading, Channelisation Of Water Ways
Chairman, Atakumosa East Local Government Area, Iperindo, State of Osun, Prince Oluwafemi Kujembola has reiterated his commitment to banish poverty and reduce rural migration to urban centers through massive development.
According to a statement issued by the council’s Head of Social Development and Information, Mr Z. Oni, and Information Officer, Adekola Aderonke, the chairman made the statement during the inspection of the road undergoing grading, bulldozing and rehabilitation, completely graded roads linking towns and communities and some other projects.
The council chairman expressed satisfaction with the state of work done on the bulldozing and grading while the residents of the area gave kudos to the management for the massive development which has positively affected their lives and businesses.
The council’s management team led by prince Kujembola, according to the statement, had earlier carried out the grading of township roads which are, Idado, Odogbo, Eti Oni, Ipole to Ilaye, Orita Merin to Faro.
The statement also stressed that the administration has also embarked on rehabilitation of Iperindo main Market with renovation of the stalls and lock up shops and the expansion of the market, which has attracted market men and women to the market so as to boost the internally generated revenue of the council.
“The administration has embarked on grading of roads from reserve junction to Alonge and to Cyril, from Cyril to Arowojobe, Camp 1, Camp 2, Alaaka, Adeyanju, Ago Ikirun, Laabopo. Others are Ogundele, Sokoto, Onigbogi to Owada
“This gesture has given the present administration the rest of mind that it has touched many lives through massive development which has boosted their income through farm produce.
“The dredging of stream that links the local government Secretariat which has facilitated free flow of water is also part of the achievements of this administration Prince Kujembola and members of the parliament with the cooperation of the council workers.
While rounding up his visitations to the main local government Secretariat, he reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the staff members and promised to create conducive working environment for them to do their jobs effectively.
He also thanked the union leaders in the local government under the leadership of Comrade Adekola Aderonke for their prompt support at all time for their role in maintaining industrial harmony in the council.
The chairman then assured the staff that he will never betray their trust.
He also used the opportunity to appreciate members of the council’s parliament for their support.
