Notable Nigerians have reacted to the defection of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC on Thursday.
The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu, is unhappy after Femi Fani-Kayode joined the APC.
Ojudu lamented the defection on his Facebook page by describing Thursday as the saddest in his political career.
“This is the saddest day of my political career,” Ojudu posted.
He subsequently shared a previous vow by Fani-Kayode that he would never join APC, adding “I prefer to die than join APC”.
In his reaction, the former spokesperson of Lagos APC and an aide to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Joe Igbokwe, berated the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the reception accorded Femi Fani-Kayode.
Reacting in a post on his Facebook page, Joe Igbokwe, stated that the APC is yet to invite him to meet with Buhari despite all his push for the ruling party.
He slammed the ruling party for giving a political “charlatan and prostitute” like Fani-Kayode a red carpet welcome.
According to him, “Despite all my push for APC, Abuja has not given me a phone call, talk less of inviting me for coffee with the C-in-C. But here is a political charlatan and prostitute being given a red carpet in the seat of power, full”.
On his part, Sheik Ahmad Abubakar Gunmi described Fani Kayode as the Judas of Oduduwa.
Posting on his Facebook page, Gunmi said, “I have for long, neglected the rantings of the Judas of Oduduwa attacking me knowing full well that he is fake and a traitor.
“Time has now caught up with him and thanks to Allah, all his vituperations are cast in the dustbin of merciless history.
“It is him now, one wonders which of the seven circles of hell this duper will settle if he doesn’t repent.”
