Constituency Tour: Omoluabi Progressives Hit Iwo, Charge Members To Be Steadfast On Caucus Ideology
The Chairman of Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, on Thursday, charged members to be steadfast and upright in the ideals of the caucus.
Adesiji said members must continue to exhibit the spirit of unity and progressivism.
He gave the charge during the visit of the executive committee of the caucus to Ayedire/Iwo/Ola Oluwa federal constituency in continuation of it’s federal constituency tour.
The caucus chairman stated that the mission of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus is to play a civic politics, with its foundation on transparency and accountability.
He stressed that for aspiring political leaders and holders of government positions, it is key to be thorough bred in ideology, especially one that is deeply rooted in governance, for mass prosperity.
The ex-council boss said, “We are working assiduously to return the party to its real owners (the progressives), who will follow the infrastructural development strides of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji AREGBESOLA”
A statement by the Organizing and Publicity Secretary of the caucus, Abosede Oluwaseun, noted that the State Coordinating Team of Omoluabi Progressives earlier visited The Akire of Ikire Ile, Oba. (Alhaji.) AbdulAzeez Olatubosun Adebamiji, Ogunkojo 11, Ilufemiloye 1 and HRM Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, the Oluwo of Iwo land.
The statement said both nonarchs lauded the achievements of Ogbeni Aregbesola in Osun, and prayed for the success of the caucus’ vision.
It added that the monarchs urged the team to always be fair, peaceful and just in their dealings.
“The train further moved round some eminent Islamic scholars in the ancient town before ending it at the doorstep of Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen National Secretariat where it’s National President, Sheik Daood Imran Molaasan, the Grand Mufti of Yorubaland welcome the State team and held fruitful discussion with them.
“Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi & Alhaji Moshood ADEOTI, in their goodwill messages further educate members of their Constituency on the vision and discipline which is central to the Omoluabi ethos.
“In her closing remark, Dr. Mrs Peju Adigun, the IWO Federal Constituency Representative appreciated Omoluabi members immensely for turning out en-masse. Noting that their commitment and zeal are encouraging. She encouraged members to keep doing what is novel as Omoluabi is worthy of being part of,” the statement noted.
