There seems to be a controversy as the Balogun of Modakeke, Chief Moses Oladejo, who by tradition of the town is the next to become the Ogunsua, was reportedly said to have stepped aside for his eldest son.
Sources said the Balogun considered to step aside for his son because of his old age.
This has however caused a controversy as the Otun Balogun of Modakeke who automatically qualifies to be the next Ogunsua if the Balogun voluntarily steps down will not allow the Balogun’s son to be crowned.
Our correspondent gathered that some high chiefs of the town have met with the Balogun to accept to become the next Ogunsua despite his old age.
But sources revealed that the Balogun still insisted on allowing his son to become the next Ogunsua while the Otun -Balogun has been in conflict with the Balogun and his son on the matter.
