An Osogbo Magistrate Court has issued a bench warrant against a suspect, Temitope Sekoni, 45, for refusing to appear before the court.
The suspect was standing trial before the court in a charge, MOS/34c/2017 and fails to appear when the matter came up for hearing.
However, when the suspect later arrived the court, he was arrested and docked for the alleged crime against him.
The accused pleaded guilty to the count charge against him that the court should forgive him and wouldn’t do such again.
The offence committed, the charge sheet revealed is contrary to section 133 of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11 law of Osun state of Nigeria, 2003.
According to the charge sheet, the accused committed the alleged offence at chief magistrate court 1 on September 24, 2018 at about 9:00am.
Presiding Magistrate Mrs. Fatimat Sodamade granted the accused bail with the sum of N5,000 or should be remanded in prison custody for a month.
