An Osun State magistrate court in Osogbo has remanded a 30-year-old man, Adeleke Najeem over alleged theft.
Adeleke Najeem was arraigned on Wednesday May 16, 2018 on a three-count charge bothering on stealing.
The prosecutor inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the defendant committed the offence between April and December 2017 at Zeebaf Supermarket Ataoja estate Area in Osogbo.
He stated that the defendant stole household items, provisions, cutleries, men wears, imported drinks and cash with total value of N450,000 property of one Mrs Fawemi Ganiyat.
Inspector Fagboyinbo explained further that the accused person conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace when he instigated the two sales girls at Zeebafs supermarket market, Titilayo Omotosho and Falls Omotola to steal from their director.
The Prosecutor added that the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 249 of Criminal code cap 34 vol.11 law of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the four count charges preferred against him.
The defence counsel, Mr J. P Jones urged the court to admit the accused person to bail in the most liberal terms.
The magistrate, Mr O. A Ayilara ordered that the accused person should be remanded in Ilesha prison custody and adjourned the case till May 23 for ruling.
