Court Remands Bricklayer For Stealing, Fraud In Osogbo

 

Osun State magistrate court has remanded a 39 years old Bricklayer, Olasunkanmi Kazeem, in Ilesa correctional centre over alleged of stealing and Fraud.

Kazeem, the defendant, was said to have fraudulently obtained the sum of N950,000 from Mr Adisa Fatai under the pretence of selling of land for him.

Also, he was said to obtain the sum of N550,000 from one Amusan Timothy under the pretence of selling a land for him.

According to the charge sheet obtained by OSUN DEFENDER, on Wednesday, the defendant committed the offence in the month of July, 2021 in Osogbo.

The alleged offence according to the police, contravene section 422, 419, 516, 383 and 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 vol.II, Laws of Osun State, 2002.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the six count charge bordering on fraud and stealing levelled against him.

In his ruling, the presiding Magistrate, A.O Ayilara ordered the defendant to be remanded in ilesa correctional centre.

The case was adjourned to August 28, for ruling on bail.
