Court Remands Man over Alleged Murder

A Magistrate Court in Osogbo, capital of the State of Osun presided over by Magistrate O. A Ayilara has remanded a 22-year old man, Akinleye Ayo popularly known as “Baba Esu” over an alleged murder.
Prosecutor, Oladoye Joshua told the court that the accused with others at large committed the offence on the 5th of August, 2017 at Old Garage area of the state capital.
Joshua said the accused unlawfully killed one Bintu Anifowose by shooting her with a gun.
He said the accused has also proven to be a member of an unlawful society named Aiye Black Axe Secret cult.
The prosecutor added that the offences contravened sections 64(a)(b), 319 and 324 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, vol. II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
The plea of the accused was not taken.
In his ruling, Magistrate Ayilara ordered the remand of the accused person in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till March 30, 2018
